Hike 26: Playa del Bollullo

In this tour you can combine a visit to Puerto de la Cruz with walking and swimming. We park in the free large car park to the west of Puerto de la Cruz and stroll leisurely along the waterfront promenades through the centre of town. We walk to the left of the tunnel of the TF-31 until we reach a junction where the hiking trail leaves the road. Here you can also park alternatively from the east.

 

It is about 2 km to Playa del Bollullo. Next to El Socorro, this beach is one of the most beautiful on the north coast. It is not as crowded as Playa Jardin and also has a pleasant atmosphere. After 5 km, the hike makes a large bend and involves an ascent. You should not do this and hike back along the high path of the playa to Puerto Cruz.

 

If you only want to go there for a swim, you can park in a car park above the playa for €3.
