Privacy policy

Data protection

The operator of these pages takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. I treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

The use of my website is generally possible without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) is collected on these pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

I would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Use of server log files

The website provider (Manitu, Welvertstr. 2, 66606 St. Wendel) collects data about access to the website and stores it as server log files. The following data is logged: website visited, time at the time of access, amount of data sent in bytes, source/reference from which the access originated, browser used, operating system used, IP address used. The data collected is only used for statistical analyses and to improve the website. Since it would not be possible to use the websites hosted by Strato without the IP address, there is a legitimate interest in data collection in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. This interest ceases to apply after Strato has provided all requested services. The IP addresses of website visitors may be stored for a short period of time, as Strato also has a legitimate interest in recognising and defending against attacks on its systems. However, the IP address is anonymised after seven days at the latest.

Provision of chargeable services

I will request additional data, such as payment details, in order to provide chargeable services.

SSL encryption

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as the enquiries you send to me as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you send to me cannot be read by third parties.

Comment function

For the comment function on this page, in addition to your comment, information about the time the comment was created and, if you are not posting anonymously, the user name you have chosen will be saved. Names are displayed anonymously on the web pages.

User accounts

A user account will be set up for all purchasers of the hiking guide to be able to use the service area. The user names are anonymous. No IP addresses or personal data will be processed.

Contact form

If you send me enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by me for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. This data will be deleted after final clarification of the enquiry. The service provider of the contact form, Onlex, does not store any personal data, but only handles the encrypted transmission of the data.

Passing on the e-mail address

When the online hiking guide is purchased, the buyer's e-mail address is passed on to the service provider droppy.ch for the purpose of sending the download link. After the download has been completed or after 5 days at the latest, the e-mail address will be deleted. The legal basis for the processing of personal data using the email address is Article 6(1) of the GDPR. There are legitimate economic interests that make the use of email addresses necessary to achieve these interests. Overriding interests of the user of the website do not preclude the use of email addresses.

Visitor counter

The visitor counter from Bauser Enterprises IT is integrated on every page. The IP addresses used for counting are assigned a 100-digit salt before being stored in the database and then encrypted one-way. Bauser Enterprises IT will compile the daily visitor counter for statistical purposes on behalf of the operator of this website. My legitimate interest in data processing also lies in these purposes. The legal basis for the use of the visitor counter is Section 15(3) TMG and Article 6(1) GDPR. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Bauser Enterprises IT is not merged with other data. No user profiles are created.
